Ana Maria Stoica - psychotherapist
Ana Maria Stoica is a dedicated psychotherapist and CBT practitioner, and the author of the book The Heart Brain Revolution: The Science of Being Human (2024, Ingram). With deep empathy for how challenging emotional wounds impact mental health, she offers a supportive and effective approach to therapy, helping both adolescents and adults heal, build resilience, and cultivate lasting emotional well-being.
Therapeutic Focus
Ana Maria works with individuals who have faced a range of emotional difficulties, such as bullying, various forms of abuse, social rejection, and humiliation. She also supports those dealing with suicide ideation, anxiety, depression, grief, guilt, and anger. Her goal is to help ease the pain of these emotions and guide clients towards healing through advanced Inner Child work, the Voice Dialogue method, hypnotherapy and cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT).
Alongside her clinical work, Ana Maria explores the connection between emotions and both mental and physical health. In her book The Heart Brain Revolution, she examines the role of the intracardiac nervous system, presenting the emotional network as a distinct and independent component of human biology, governed by the neural pathways located in the heart.
Some of her findings are exemplified in the Mental and Emotional Health Articles section.
Ana Maria warmly invites those interested in her therapeutic approach or in participating in research to get in touch. She is committed to supporting each person’s journey toward emotional health and personal growth.
Research and Innovation
Social connections play a crucial role in emotional health; however, many people find that past traumas resurface within these interactions.
Ana Maria is dedicated to improving social interactions and family dynamics, helping clients build healthier relationships and better communication skills. Her therapy is crafted to foster personal growth and enhance relational functioning, addressing both individual and family issues.
She also specialises in supporting adolescents (from age 13 and up), providing tailored guidance to help young people navigate the emotional and behavioural challenges of their developmental years.
